IRONMAN World Championship: Cook 1, Part Time, Temporary
Rate of Pay: $30.27/hour
Schedule: Shifts from October 1through October 15

Opportunity Awaits on the beautiful Island of Hawaii to be part of triathlon’s most iconic event... As the host hotel for the IRONMAN World Championship, the King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott currently has openings for talented Temporary, Part Time Cook 1 to share the aloha spirit and strive to create a memorable guest experience from October 1 - October 15 .

Brief Summary of Job: During IRONMAN World Championship period of October 1 - October 15: Prepares, seasons, cooks and portions hot sauces, soups, stocks, broth, stews, braised sauteed and roasted meats, fish and poultry. Prepares cold meats and supervises the cooking of vegetables. Substitutes or relieves cooks assigned to junior stations as necessary. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

____ Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing
personalized service to hotel guests.
____ Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
____ May assist in the supervision and/or training of all other cooks.
____ Keeps working area clean and free of obstruction of any kind.
____ May prepare and supervise preparation of desserts, pastries, confections and ice cream.
____ May create artistic statuaries and ornaments out of sugar, pastry, or ices.
____ May cut, trim and prepare meats, fish, or fowl for frying, roasting, broiling and stewing to order of various other cooks.
____ Makes individual cuts of meats, fish or fowl to to specified size or weight and utilizing every portion.
____ Initiates requisitions.
____ Converts recipes and standard measures to daily requirements.
____ Works under little or no direct supervision.
____ Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best
overall performance of the department and hotel.
____ Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Requirements Knowledge/Education/Experience: Minimum of two (2) - three (3) years of related experience. High school or equivalent education. TB clearance card required.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: English speaking or bilingual. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Ability to maintain good team member relations. Dependable.
