Job Summary



Our mission within Processing Solutions & Equipment is to manage and deliver Commercial Capital Equipment projects on time, in full, within budget and with a quality level that meets or exceeds our customers’ expectations.
We are now looking for a Site Installation Manager to join our successful team.  The chosen candidate will work in US/CAN Project Center providing world-class site management project capabilities within local customer projects. You will be responsible to lead and manage the integration of all site-based activities during Installation of projects, both process mechanical & electrical. You may also be asked to manage the site requirements and activities during the Commissioning & Performance Validation phase of our commercial customer projects. 
You will work in a dynamic project environment delivering up to large (>20MEur) and complex commercial projects to customers with cross-functional engineering teams.
The position is based in Vernon Hills, IL.
You may be required to travel 75% of your time regionally.
Tetra Pak is considering applicants (Internal or External) who require International relocation to the United States.

What you will do


As a Site Installation Manager you will: 

  • Provide Site leadership to deliver project results with responsibility for site activities, including planning and follow-up of daily activities at the installation site, working with a cross-functional team of highly committed colleagues from Tetra Pak as well as from customer and third-party suppliers.
  • Discuss installation plans with subcontractors including routing of piping or conduits to/from equipment and help solve spatial conflicts found during the piping and equipment installation.
  • Manage and take responsibility for Occupational Health and Safety site activities covered by the scope of the project; mental well-being, heavy lifting, working at height, hot works, etc.
  • Communication and co-ordination of site activities with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and monitor project plans on Quality, Time and Cost for site activities.
  • Support and review pre-project activities from a site perspective during the Sales phase.
  • Drive improvement or development of processes and tools around Site Management.
  • Coach and mentor future colleagues within site management.

We believe you have

 

  • Bachelor´s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Appropriate level of educational background to align with the job need, together with a proven track record.
  • Project management certification is a plus.
  • More than 6+ years of experience in leading installation and preferably commissioning projects on customer sites.
  • A structured, proactive and well-organized approach to project tasks.
  • Proven ability to interact and challenge the customer and/or their building contractor regarding building completion schedule and readiness, to ensure alignment with the contractual obligations.
  • You are self-driven, decisive, highly motivated and independent in your work.
  • You demonstrate leadership, communication, technical negotiation and change management skills and the capability to maneuver through complex situations effectively.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
  • Ability to travel extensively within Americas region, and occasionally globally.
  • Excitement in navigating large installation projects on customer sites
  • Positive and strong leadership and an organized way of working and delivering under time and pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills to easily work cross-functionally with people on all levels and cultures.

Pay Equity



Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. 
This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances. 
 

  • Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $100,100.00 USD – $ 142,800.00 USD
  • Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of _% of ABS
