Job Title: Assistant Director of Finance Wage/Hour Status: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Finance Pay Grade: Admin Pay 6
Dept./School: Finance Days: 227
Supervises: Finance Accountants
Primary Purpose: Assist with the successful management of the district finance processes.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/accounting
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Working knowledge of governmental financial
- Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and do word
- Ability to implement policy and
- Ability to interpret data.
- Ability to assist with management of budget and
- Ability to coordinate district functions.
Experience:
- Minimum two years of governmental accounting

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Fiscal Management
- Assist in the preparation of the budget and development of long- and short-range objectives for the business operations of the
- Assist campuses and departments within the district with questions and needs for budget changes, and discretionary
- Review financial records for accuracy and needed adjustments.
- Assist auditors, prepare monthly and end of year closing adjustments, assist with annual financial reporting in accordance with current accounting
- Assist with banking, investment and treasury management services.
- Oversee preparation of monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare quarterly and annual investment reports.
