Reporting to the Director, Data Integrity and Operations, OSR, the Data Integrity and Operations Lead is responsible for the data analysis and reporting needs for the Office Sponsored Research by designing reports and metrics needed for operations and monitoring staff productivity. Manages ongoing needs for enterprise systems (Converge, Oracle, SAP and related systems) through needed testing, developing/implementing changes, addressing/handling system issues, and ensuring data quality and integrity in systems. Using system expertise, designs, collaborates on, and implements training activities, as well as handles complex system problem-solving. In addition, the Data Integrity and Operations Lead will perform the responsibilities of the Account Setup Manager in a specific area or in multiple areas.The Data Integrity and Operations Lead will support the Office of Sponsored Research’s mission and values by exhibiting the following: understand empathy, model accountability, ensure fairness, embrace community, and value creativity. The incumbent will strive to provide excellent service when performing job responsibilities.Specific Responsibilities Data Reporting and Analysis: Create and refine reports using advanced Excel skills (pivot tables required) and ensure accurate data integration from systems such as Converge and Oracle. Provide operational reporting, dashboards and statistical analysis of data and determine the best source of data to support data driven decision making.Develops, maintains, and monitors metrics for OSR staff productivity.Designs and produces analytical reports as needed.Participates in the design of new web-based report formats and their distribution.Maintains high level of data quality by selectively auditing data for accuracy and by carrying out quality assurance tests.Provides productivity reports to leadership with recommended solutions whenever necessary.Assesses and modifies current data entry procedures as necessary.Routine or ad-hoc internal and external data requests.System Support: Develops, prioritizes, tests and manages ongoing enterprise system improvements (for Converge, Oracle, SAP and related systems), working closely with the OSR, Enterprise Systems, and the other groups within AdministrationAnticipates impacts on OSR systems due to changes in external and internal regulations and policies and works to design and implement necessary changes.Provides functional support to OSR Team help desk, on complex system and service issues.Designs methods for data and data process realignment to ensure data quality and integrity in OSR systems.Advises OSR teams on issues relating to systems and to proposal and award processes.Reviews requests processed by other team members for quality and accuracy.Responds to help requests from OSR, other administration groups, and as well as the researchers for support with internal systems.Recommends and implements changes in operation procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.Manages system access and accounts for all OSR systems (Converge, eRA, etc)Performs operational tasks related to award establishment and post-award modifications.Acts as back up to the Account Setup Manager in a specific area or in multiple areas when needed.Support Process Improvement: Analyze existing workflows, recommend improvements, and assist with implementing changes to streamline data reporting and related operations. Develop processes/tools to monitor and analyze data model performance to test effectiveness and to ensure accuracy, optimal performance, and data integrity.Works closely with business owners with OSR to train them on processes and system applications. (Ex - Associate Director, Research Administration Initiatives and Operations)Provides system input on training materials for new system features.Stakeholder Collaboration:Work closely with leadership, faculty, and staff to present clear, concise data insights.Explain concepts simply without overwhelming non-technical audiences.Collaborate with leaders and functional teams to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.Education Requirements: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in a related field.A minimum of 10+ years of related experience in sponsored research administration.The Broad will not offer visa sponsorship for this role
