About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood, performing venipuncture, and collecting and processing specimens. Your attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols will be essential in ensuring accurate and timely results. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and maintain a safe and clean work environment.
The hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour. Pay is based on years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
- Performs venipuncture and capillary punctures on out-patients and in-office patients of all ages
- Logging specimens into lab information system, preparing specimens for testing and transporting to reference lab as needed
- Maintaining complete and accurate documentation of patient phlebotomy records in EHR
- Answering phones, taking messages, and providing routine lab information as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Phlebotomy certificate required
- Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred
- CPR Certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks
