BT-143 – Data Scientist
Location: Chantilly (fully on-site, no remote option)
 

**MUST HAVE A POLY CLEARANCE TO APPLY. Those without a Poly clearance will not be considered.**

• The Team will train machine learning models in a variety of ways, to meet a variety of functions, including but not limited to:
  • Synthesis of code to be used for automated web scrapes
  • Automation of other functions related to web scrapes, including detection and "self-healing" of scrapes
  • Automated visual detection of object types (like types of vehicles, license plates, etc) within video data
  • Automated review and analysis of terms of service of companies
  • Automating open source collection of data that could be used to train AI/ML systems and models.
• The Team will provide Model training based on training data that may need to be acquired from other components.
• The Team will create complete AI-based systems, which may include multiple inputs, models, human-review processes and outputs ETL processes and databases.
• The Team will provide Productization and development of AI-based systems for use as part of collection mechanisms. The Team will provide support to operational elements that are using these systems, including breakfix work and software updates.
• The Team will research AL/ML technologies in open source to ensure that applicable cutting-edge technologies and capabilities are being brought to bear on efforts.
• The Team will support the efforts to collaborate with other elements across the organization and community that are engaged in AI efforts.
• The Team will Frame and scale data problems to effectively analyze, visualize and find data solutions.
• The Team will develop and support scalable and secure functionality into software applications, focusing on integrating and implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) algorithms and logic into the deliverables of an IT project.
• The Team will understand business objectives and develop models that help to achieve them, along with metrics to track progress.
• The Team will derive insights and analytic narratives from data and visualizations for effective storytelling and clear communication in response to specific research questions.
• The Team will analyze technology trends related to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), and their strategic implications.
• The Team will perform independent technical research in relevant areas; robotics, autonomy, software, engineering, data analysis.
• The Team will collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand and assess business requirements and define AI solutions to align with architectural framework and meet business needs.
• The Team should be familiar with disciplines such as Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Predictive modeling, Statistical Analysis and Hypothesis testing.
• The Team will a system to look for or seek out specific conditions and respond based on those factors.

• Demonstrated experience with the ability to understand and automate client workflows and business processes with AI solutions
• Demonstrated experience in data structures, data modeling, and software architecture
• Demonstrated in-depth experience and knowledge of machine learning tools and frameworks such as PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.
• Demonstrated experience with extensive math and computer science skills, with a deeр understanding of probability, statistics, and algorithms
• Demonstrated experience in AI/ML specific programming languages, such as Python, Jav, C++, Conda, etc.
• Demonstrated experience training AI models, as well as in integrating pre-trained models into dataflows and software architectures.

• Demonstrated experience implementing secure AI solutions
• Demonstrated experience working with highly sensitive data sets
• Demonstrated experience in leading AI/ML initiatives
• Demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge of implementing ETL (Enhance/Transform/Load) pipeline
• Demonstrated experience and in-depth knowledge in implementing solutions in Amazon Web Services
• Demonstrated experience with very strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated experience performing in a collaborative team environment.
