Position Overview:
Consulting Services Group is looking for a Deputy Program Manager responsible for the cost, schedule, and technical performance of assigned programs, products and proposals. This will include coordinating and leading cross-functional teams to execute project plans. Participation in project audits and reviews. Coordinate various components that contribute to the project to ensure on-time delivery including follow up on program Quality Assurance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and fuse multi-source products into actionable recommendations.
- Supports the Program Manager in all aspects of various efforts; to include cost, schedule, requirements, risk, performance, and security.
- Ensures customer satisfaction is high and a constructive relationship between the organization and the area command is established and maintained
- Responsible for ensuring the customer priorities for new or changed products and services, in alignment with desired business outcomes, are effectively established and articulated
- Provides technical, administrative, and operational oversight.
- Participates in the development of technical project plans, proposals, reports, and task order administrative reporting.
- Conducts planning and provides recommendations on task workload and improved technologies to ensure the capability stays relevant
- Coordinates development of deliverables and products.
- Ensures quality assurance of project deliverables, ensuring all teams are meeting technical SLAs.
- Serve as acting program manager in the program manager’s absence (not to exceed 30 consecutive days).
- Directly contributes to program efforts in several areas, including cost management/avoidance, schedule estimation and tracking, contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance activities.
- Implement streamlined processes and procedures to enable rapid program responses for all requirements
- Assists in the generation of briefs at multiple levels of management
- Oversee the coordination of work priorities and monitoring of methods, procedures, and programs.
Qualifications:
Required:
- U.S. citizenship. Sponsorship for employment-based visas (e.g., H-1B, OPT, Green Card) is not available.
- Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, business administration, or comparable discipline
- Four to six years of project management experience.
Preferred:
- Complex Problem Solving — Assist in identifying complex problems, reviewing related information and work with program team to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
- Procedures and Processes — Ability to provide explanations of complex procedures and processes clearly and accurately.
- Positive demeanor, collaborative, and comfortable in a fluid environment that changes as the business evolves. Highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about continuous improvements.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, ability to identify and articulate key business implications.
- Coordinate CSG resources needed for effective program management, including but not limited to, contracts administration, security, and finance support.
- Experience meeting with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review schedules and deliverable items, and effectively execute in accordance with approved plans
Work Environment:
- Work is typically performed in an office and/or data center environment, requiring computer terminals and standard office equipment to accomplish work objectives.
- This is a full-time position working normal workday hours, Monday to Friday, with weekends and holidays off.
Travel:
- Minimal local travel in the WMA
Job location: Onsite in Herndon, Virginia. Remote telework is not available.
