We are looking for a Copywriter who lives the challenge seeking lifestyle and translates it into compelling customer facing copy. Here, you will collaborate with the marketing team to deliver world-class work through all aspects of the brand. You will play an integral part in our email marketing campaigns and drive awareness through full brand campaigns. You’ll spend your time working on everything from snappy headlines to long-form content.
Responsibilities:
- Write customer-facing copy that spans ROKA's marketing channels: website, email, podcasts, and social
- Deliver well-organized and timely copy to support our team of designers
- Collaborate in the creation of assets for digital, social, and print
- Create copy for our email marketing campaigns - focused on strong, quick, win-the-click campaigns
- Create strong product descriptions, articulate product features, and highlight the emotional benefits of each item.
- Assist in the organization and delivery of website creative - working to update and strengthen messaging across the brand.
- Contribute to marketing calendar planning and content idea development
- Understand and evolve brand guidelines and tone for assigned work
- Manage and consolidate feedback on creative work from cross-departmental functions
- Communicate and collaborate with cross-departmental teams to build insights into creative work
- Research and understand current and potential ROKA customers' needs. Through online searches, existing product reviews, and connecting with our Customer Experience team
Must Haves:
- 3+ years of experience as a copywriter in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional writing/editing/proofing skills and high attention to detail
- An intuitive, empathic understanding of people, and an ability to hypothesize why a message may or may not resonate with a given audience
- You enjoy taking initiative and are comfortable tackling problems in uncertain or ambiguous situations
- You are comfortable multi-tasking and managing competing priorities
- You are intellectually curious and have a bias towards rapidly learning new skills or things that interest you
- Organized self-starter and independent worker
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Exceptional teamwork, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to learn and understand our market and products
- Marketing campaign development experience
- Lives an active lifestyle with participation in activities that align with our customers’ passions - (ex endurance sports, outdoor pursuits)
- Demonstrated understanding of ROKA customers’ lifestyles, activities, and passions
- Understands “getting after it” and how that translates to consumer facing deliverables
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, or a related field preferred
Work Location:
ROKA is located in Austin, TX, USA. The Company is on a hybrid work schedule. Candidates must be prepared to work on-site as often as needed per the Department’s business needs. Remote candidates will not be considered for this position.
