About the Department
The Chemistry Program within the School of Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM) is seeking an innovative Assistant Professor (non-tenure track) to teach undergraduate courses beginning Fall 2026. This position is a one-year appointment, renewable upon satisfactory job performance.
Position Duties
- Teach undergraduate courses during the fall and spring semester.
- Advise students and maintain records of student progress.
- Assist in all areas of program improvement, including participation in curriculum development, evaluation, and assessment.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must be passionate about teaching undergraduates. Candidates should have a PhD in Chemistry. Qualifications include:
- Innovative pedagogical approaches to teaching undergraduates from diverse backgrounds
- Coursework and/or experience in Chemistry or related field
- Effective oral and written communication skills
