PURPOSE OF JOB
Cut to length tubes to all required dimensions and geometries found on the drawing. - Prepare cutting machine for operation by cleaning work area, organizing tools, and reviewing documentation.
- Completely follows product handling procedures, all products handled with care and within procedural guidelines.
- Record measurement requirements and tolerances on router.
- Measure parts at beginning, middle and end of run (or as necessary) and records data on router.
- Use inspection microscope to verify workmanship of product.
- Monitor output during shift to ensure that standard run rates are achieved.
- Alert floor technician, work leader or supervisor of any problems with machine and/or quality of product produced.
- Complete all associated documentation required (work travelers, output logs, etc.) per Needletech Standard Operating Procedure.
- Understand attendance policy – shows up at station ready to work promptly and works specified hours.
- Review and understand daily work schedule.
- Understands importance and follows safety policies and procedures
- Communicate pertinent pass down information to the group-leader, supervisor and/or next operator.
- Clean, organize work area upon completion of shift.
- Perform other duties as required.
EDUCATION:
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent (required).
- Minimum of two to three years of experience operating and setting up machines.
- Previous experience working on cutting machines is preferred
- Ability to stand throughout an eight-hour shift.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to read and understand product labels, policies, diagrams, safety instructions.
- Ability to convey detailed messages department to supervisor and other employees.
