Minimum Qualifications
A doctoral degree (DPT, EdD, PhD. ScD) is preferred. Must be licensed or eligible for professional licensure as a physical therapist in the state of Alabama. Previous teaching experienced is preferred. Clinical specialization in Neurology, Pediatrics, Geriatrics, or experience in Gender Health, and a strong background in research and grant writing are preferred. Academic rank will be determined by qualifications.
It is to be noted that for the purpose of continuous improvement of faculty qualifications as faulty members complete advanced degrees, certifications, licenses, etc., the faculty member will send official documentation, within 45 days of hire, to the Office of Human Resources, and the credentialing file in Academic Affairs.
