Who you are: 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, the Financial Analyst will play a pivotal role in the financial planning and analysis activities for CIEE. This position requires relevant experience in financial modelling, forecasting, and trend analysis to support executive decision-making. The Financial Analyst will collaborate closely with the operating business units to ensure accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and comprehensive budgeting and forecasting processes.

What you’ll do:


Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Develop and maintain financial models to support business unit planning and decision-making.
  • Support budget managers in the preparation of detailed forecasts, variance analyses, and performance reports to track financial performance against budget and strategic goals.
  • Analyze financial data and trends across the business to provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Conduct scenario analyses and sensitivity testing to evaluate financial risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to gather pertinent data and ensure alignment with financial objectives.


Reporting and Budgeting

  • Prepare and present monthly and annual financial reports to executive leadership.
  • Support the annual budgeting process, including providing pertinent data to support setting financial targets.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for internal and stakeholders.


Strategic Analysis

  • Support strategic initiatives and projects by providing financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Assist in the evaluation of potential investments, acquisitions, and other business opportunities.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscapes to inform strategic planning and business decisions.
  • Collaborate with senior management to assist in the development of long-term financial strategies and objectives.


Training

  • Assist in the development and delivery of training programs to enhance financial acumen among budget managers ensuring alignment with financial objectives and strategies.


 

What you’ll bring:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or an Equivalent discipline required. MBA a plus.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or related roles.
  • Extensive experience with planning and forecasting software. Experience with Netsuite ERP and/or Workday Adaptive Planning is a plus.
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI and Tableau).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills, along with superior attention to detail.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed, with a high sense of urgency.
  • An elevated level of independent judgment and initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Must function at an expert level in MS Excel.
  • Ability to extract data from financial systems and manipulate it in offline environments.
