Job Summary

The Custodian is responsible for upholding a high level of cleanliness in the Store, while maintaining the company's commitment to exceptional customer service. The role requires positive interactions with customers and attention to detail to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all customers and employees.

Requirements

 Key Responsibilities

• Maintain floors in a clean state by sweeping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and mopping
• Empty and clean trash receptacles and collect recycling
• Clean, sanitize, and supply bathrooms
• Respond promptly to spills or accidents to ensure employee and customer safety.
• Deep cleaning cases, bunkers, bumper rails, shelves, carts, and hand baskets.
• Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of fuel pump areas including trash removal, spill cleanup and restocking windshield cleaning supplies.
• Other duties as assigned to support operations.

• Ability to take the initiative and know if certain items need attention
• Positive attitude, excellent customer service, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain professional and appropriate conduct..
• Ability to follow directions and procedures; effective time management and organization skills.
• Must be able to speak and read in English clearly.
• Must maintain a positive, can-do attitude and be willing to adapt to the dynamic needs of the job.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Stand and walk for long periods of time
• Complete tasks, works positions with repetitive motions
• Reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently.
• Climb ladders and stairs.
• Tolerate exposure to nontoxic fumes, airborne particles, outdoor allergens, and cleaning solutions.
