The Bridge Family Center is seeking a Director of the its Family Resource Center, based out of the Charter Oak School in West Hartford, CT. The Director of the Family Resource Center administers and integrates services and activities offered through the Family Resource Center and the Early Childhood Programs, and provides direct services as a parent educator for these programs. This position is part of the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Executive Director.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
I. Administrative Duties
- Develop, maintain and supervise an effective, cohesive staff team. Inclusive of coordinating, recruiting, hiring, scheduling, supervising, evaluating, and training of staff. Deliver staff supervision consistent with best practice standards as dictated by The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the National Family Support Network.
- General oversight of both the Family Resource Center and the Early Childhood Programing. Ensure the integrity of both programs, and assist with assessments and other documentation as needed.
- Develop program publicity including the use of social media and recruitment.
- Co-chair the School Readiness Council and coordinate the work of the Parent Leadership Civic Design Team and alumni group.
- Develop network and coordinate services with school staff, PTO, and other services in the school.
- Serve as liaison to the CT State Department of Education and the CT Office of Early Childhood.
- Monitor program enrollment and record keeping.
- Oversee budget and look for funding.
- Submit monthly statistics regarding participation levels.
II. Direct Service
- Plan and facilitate parent group meetings and parent-child activities.
- Develop and deliver early childhood curriculum and programs.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Human Services, Early Childhood Education or Child Development required. Experience in Human Services administration and Education. Experience working with parents of young children required. Previous experience managing a staff preferred. Familiarity with or experience working with Family Resource Centers a plus. Strong knowledge of child development a must.
Skills: Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and administrative skills. Ability to work with parents, providers, children, and families; ability to facilitate coordination of various types of services. Awareness of parenting and child development issues. Ability to work independently. Culturally sensitive.
