    • Hourly compensation: $27.00-$30.00

Position Overview: The Medical Assistant oversees the daily workflow of Medical Assistants to ensure operational effectiveness. This includes ensuring all staff are appropriately trained, equipped, and prepared to perform their daily tasks. Work closely with clinic leadership to resolve customer service issues and assist to drive clinic performance towards achieving a 5-Star program rating.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manages and develops an effective staff: providing effective communication, leadership, guidance, and resources according to organizational policies and applicable laws and regulations. Determines staff qualifications and competency: recruits, interviews, selects, hires, trains, orients, mentors, evaluates, coaches, counsels, disciplines, and rewards. Establishes and monitors staff safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Performs the full scope of Medical Assistant duties, as assigned by clinic leadership, while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and patient care expectations.
  • Manages and coordinates the daily operations and activities of the Medical Assistants to achieve patient and provider satisfaction, quality service, and compliance with established procedures/policies.
  • Works with the clinic leadership to implement best practices for operational workflows.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure excellent quality, timeliness, and customer service throughout the entire customer experience.
  • Ensure that patient communication, voicemail and electronic messages are replied to professionally on the same business day as receipt and concerns/issues are resolved within 72 hours.
  • Responsible for ordering supplies and equipment and maintaining appropriate inventory to meet operational requirements and stay within budget, or communicating needs to Clinic Administrator.
  • Responsible for reviewing and approving every timecard to ensure their employee’s time is accurately recorded and complete by the approval deadline. Required to work with employee to resolve errors (i.e. missed punches, meal break adjustments.

 

Supervisory or Managerial Responsibility: 

  • Supervises 5-8 staff within clinic.

Other Duties:

  • Performs other duties as needed and assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of a MA program required.
  • Minimum of four years of experience as a Medical Assistant, including at least two years supervisory experience leading people, preferably within a healthcare service clinic or physician services environment required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
