This role reports into our Macedon, NY manufacturing plant.

WHAT WE NEED

The Enterprise Health & Safety Specialist is responsible for assisting the site production teams with the implementation and sustainability of the enterprise Health and Safety programs, assisting with the development and implementation of safety processes, and fulfilling annual compliance requirements.

As a leader in safety, the Enterprise Health & Safety Specialist will provide support to the site leadership teams across the enterprise to implement, maintain, and adhere to Health and Safety protocols and corporate policies.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Participate in the development of strategic safety initiatives focused on cultural growth, incident management, hazard awareness, and risk control. 
• Assist in the implementation and training of the site leadership & supervision for safety programs and corporate policies. 
• Manage the Safety Interaction Process platform to support enterprise safety needs. 
• Assist the site teams with root cause analysis determination of corrective actions.
• Assist in the development of H&S programs, procedures, and training material.
• Perform risk assessments and gap analysis to ensure that all operations are conducted in accordance with all existing federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Cal OSHA, OSHA, and NFPA.
• Participating in safety committee initiatives and events across the enterprise. 
• Assist with completion of enterprise safety and industrial hygiene projects and infrastructure controls to achieve enterprise safety objectives. 
• Assist with the development and maintenance of enterprise safety action plans, scorecards, and compliance calendars. 
• Support preparation and sustainability efforts for performance to third-party audit requirements. 

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL 

• BS in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Science, or related accredited degree program.
• 1+ years of experience in a Health and Safety role. 
• Experience in developing & delivering safety training content. 
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge and/or experience in the Food Industry preferred.
