Structural Welder Fitter - Journeyman bei Skillforce

Skillforce is currently hiring skilled Structural Journeyman welders/fitters for work in Memphis, TN. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial and/or commercial settings. Journeyman structural welder/fitter will work with various materials and systems, including stainless steel stacks ensuring precision and compliance with safety and industry standards. Candidates will be working Monday-Friday 40+hours a week, and pay is up to $34/hr depending upon experience. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and required welding methods.

• Lay out, position, align, and secure structural steel and metal components using tools and fixtures. 

• Operate cutting, grinding and welding equipment safely and effectively. 

• Perform appropriate welding operations (e.g., SMAW, GTAW, MIG, or FCAW) and filler for project requirements.

• Fabricate and assemble structural steel frameworks and industrial equipment

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Journeyman Welder/Fitter.

• Prior commercial and/or industrial construction experience.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Experience working on stainless steel stacks in a plus.
