Norwest Christian College is seeking an experienced and passionate educational leader to join the College’s Executive Leadership Team. The successful candidate will champion excellence in teaching and learning, drive curriculum innovation, and align all academic practices with the College’s Christian mission and strategic vision.

About you:


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to
the Lord Jesus Christ, and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a
Christian fellowship, as well as the following qualifications and experiences:


  • A strong understanding of and commitment to Christian education and the Christian development of children.
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Bachelor of Teaching degrees
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Educational Leadership, Curriculum, or Pedagogy are highly desirable
  • Extensive teaching experience across Secondary (required) and Primary (desirable)
  • High level of experience with Australian Curriculum, NAPLAN and HSC
  • High level of knowledge of pedagogical frameworks
  • Experience in curriculum innovation, assessment practices, and differentiation
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and be adaptable to changing environments.
  • An enthusiastic, inspiring and innovative personality with an ability to evoke a positive team culture and build community connections.

Executive Leadership

  • Promote and model the College's Christian vision, mission, and values.
  • Collaborate as part of the College Executive Team and contribute to strategic planning and reporting.
  • Contribute to policy development and quality improvement aligned with Strategic Plan.

Curriculum & Assessment

  • Ensure curriculum and assessment practices meet NESA and College standards.
  • Oversee curriculum documentation, differentiation, integration, and academic monitoring.
  • Manage assessment programs, academic applications, and reporting processes.

Teaching & Learning

  • Provide instructional leadership and maintain exemplary classroom practice.
  • Appraise teacher performance and support professional growth.
  • Develop strategies to improve student learning outcomes across K–12.
  • Provide direction for the use of AI in teaching practice.

Faculty & Curriculum Coordination

  • Lead Heads of Faculty and Primary Curriculum Coordinator to strengthen curriculum continuity and consistency.
  • Facilitate regular meetings, data analysis, and collaborative grading practices.
  • Support faculty strategic planning and professional learning initiatives.

Staff Development

  • Collaborate with the Director of Professional Learning to deliver targeted PD in pedagogy and curriculum.
  • Promote reflective practice and encourage staff-led innovation and conference participation.
