Position Duties
In this Fiscal Management Specialist 1 role, you will provide budget and grant support to the Division of Fiscal Management. This includes preparing federal grant proposal forms and documents, grant expenditure reports, and drawdowns for other various grant expenses. Your work will support budget functions that make it possible for the Commission to protect and maintain wildlife and their habitats across Pennsylvania.
You will assist the Grant Coordinator with preparing work plans and accomplishment reports for each Commission land or property on an annual basis, as well as compiling income figures for these properties and preparing relevant information for land acquisition grants associated with multiple agencies at the state, federal, and national levels. Our team will rely on you to prioritize assignments and ensure sufficient monitoring of workflow and deadlines, develop and maintain a working knowledge of compliance requirements for federal grant programs, communicate effectively, and perform your duties with minimal supervision. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. Telework is not permitted during the initial six-month probationary period; eligibility may be granted upon its successful completion. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Minimum Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Financial Programs Trainee (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- One year of experience in paraprofessional fiscal administration work, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
