The Manager Nursing is responsible for the delivery of nursing care within the Behavioral Health Unit, in accordance with established hospital policies, procedures, and standards. This position consults and advises the Department Director on programs, projects, and activities of assigned areas. The Manager directs and manages all operational aspects of the assigned area, including providing leadership to staff, with the goal of providing a cost-effective delivery system while maintaining patient safety and excellence in customer service.

Manage a Behavioral Health Unit
Prepare, manage and control budget, monitor and analyze variances.
Direct employees to meet all mandatory Human Resource requirements.
Complete performance appraisal of staff members.
Quality compliance.
Strong leadership skills.
Oversee the process of assuring the clinical competence of personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing/Patient Care - Required
5 years Nursing/Patient Care - Required
2 years Previous managerial experience with demonstrated leadership skills - Preferred
Previous experience in Behavioral Health - Highly desired
Registered Nurse (RN) - State Licensing Board in state of practice - Required
Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association within 90 days of hire - Required
Licensure - Nursing Leadership Licensure within 36 months - Preferred
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - American Heart Association -Required if required by unit
