Work Schedule: Full time, Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm (40 hours)

A Day in the Life of a QIDP (Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional):

As a QIDP at The Arc Wayne in the Residential program you will develop and coordinate habilitation services for individuals supported.

  • Responsible for conducting and participating in the individuals initial and semi-annual reviews. Develops and updates individual's habilitation plans.
  • Assures provision of quality Residential Habilitation services to individuals in assigned residences. Reviews habilitation documentation and monthly summaries. Assures that all Residential Habilitation, to include documentation, are Medicaid compliant.
  • Develops reviews and evaluates protective oversight plans in conjunction with the treatment team as the QIDP.
  • Attends admission/discharge meetings, intake, management meetings and others as required.
  • Participates in administrative on-call rotation for after hours as needed.
  • Completes 147 paperwork, ensures timely notifications, and submits to Residential Director.
  • Provides emergency and first aid treatment until relieved by medical professional or other designated staff.
  • Adheres to Agency and Program Policies and Procedures as stated within Arc Wayne Personnel Policies and Procedures, as well as Residential Policies and Procedures.
  • Completes all other duties as assigned.

Who We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or a Bachelor's Degree with training or coursework in Human Services.
  • Must have one year experience providing services to persons with developmental disabilities.
  • Must complete and maintain certifications as designated by the agency including, but not limited to, SCIP-R, First Aid/CPR, and Medication Administration.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in providing specialized care based on individual needs (i.e. - use of adaptive equipment, ostomy care, etc.).
