We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Contracts Manager to lead all commercial and contractual activities on our mission-critical data center construction project in Belgium. This role manages project costs, contracts administration, and commercial risk across multiple high value work packages.
:- Manage commercial aspects of multiple construction contracts including design-build, MEP packages, and critical infrastructure
- Lead cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting for all project work packages
- Administer contract variations, change orders, and extension of time claims
- Coordinate monthly payment applications, progress valuations, and final account settlements
- Manage procurement processes ensuring compliance with EU procurement regulations and data center industry standards
- Lead commercial risk identification, mitigation, and claims resolution
- Interface with client commercial teams, contractors, and technology suppliers
- Provide commercial guidance to Construction Manager and technical specialists
- Prepare and present commercial reports to Project Director
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
- Chartered membership (RICS, CIOB) or equivalent European qualification preferred
- 8-12 years commercial management experience on major construction projects worth
- Proven experience with data centre, critical infrastructure, or high-tech facility construction
- Expertise in contract administration (FIDIC, NEC4, or similar standard forms)
- Strong cost control, budgeting, and financial forecasting capabilities
- Experience with EU procurement regulations and tender processes
- Knowledge of construction law, variations, and dispute resolution procedures
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and critical systems documentation
- Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven ability to manage commercial relationships with multiple technology and construction stakeholders
- Fluency in Dutch advantageous
