PURPOSE

As a Graduate, Software Developer you will rotate around various projects which directly contribute towards the products we create for our customers. You will be accountable for supporting and contributing to all aspects of delivery lifecycle - this means you will be working on real world challenges.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with Linux administration: troubleshooting, patching, and monitoring under guidance.
  • Contribute to automation tasks using shell scripting (exposure to Ansible a plus).
  • Support and learn virtualisation concepts and enterprise platforms (VMware vSphere 7/8).
  • Gain exposure to networking, security practices, servers, and storage systems.
  • Participate in Kubernetes/containerisation projects with senior team members.
  • Collaborate with the team on documentation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:

Who you are

  • Must have a Degree at Hons level in an IT/Engineering discipline;
  • Must obtain your degree by July 2025
  • Must have less than 12 months’ post graduate experience, excluding undergraduate placement/ internship experience. 
  • Must be an Australian Citizen and eligible for Security Clearance baseline level. 
  • Experience in Java, and other scripting languages.
  • Experience in unix and open source development.
  • Have an interest in Devops and Site Reliability Engineering
  • Experience creating a potential solution to a problem.  i.e. Design Thinking or Prototyping.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals and basic shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with virtualisation concepts.
  • General awareness of networking, servers, and IT security.
  • Fast learner, curious, and motivated to explore new technologies.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills
  • Exposure to Ansible or other automation tools.
  • Interest in or hands-on lab work with Kubernetes.
