- Implement Risk Policy: Apply and enforce comprehensive underwriting policies and standards across all operations, ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as KYC, AML, and card scheme rules.
- Drive Performance: Establish clear performance objectives for the team and use data to identify trends, enhance portfolio quality, and improve operational effectiveness.
- Handle Complex Cases: Act as a senior point of escalation for intricate or high-value merchant applications, providing expert guidance and ensuring sound, well-documented decisions.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with teams across the business, including Commercial, Product, and Legal, to provide an underwriting perspective and facilitate solutions that balance risk with business objectives.
What You Will Bring...
- Proven Leadership: Previous experience managing and developing an underwriting or credit risk team within the payments or fintech industry.
- Domain Expertise: Experience in underwriting or credit risk, with a strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including chargeback risk, fraud prevention, and regulatory compliance.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse complex data and use market insights to inform underwriting decisions and process improvements.
- Communication Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and influence diverse stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: A proactive and adaptable approach to solving multi-dimensional problems in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Dojo home and away
We believe our best work happens when we collaborate in-person. These “together days” foster communication, drive innovation and spark our brightest ideas.
That's why we have an office-first culture. This means working from the office 4+ days per week.
With offices across Europe, we know a thing or two about staying dynamic. Need deep focus? Head to a quiet zone. Big ideas? Collaboration spaces have you covered. Just here for a catch-up? Our social hubs make it easy. Do work that counts, in spaces made for you.
Question: what’s curious, relentless, and customer obsessed?
