BlackLine's GTM Business Intelligence team is seeking a Senior Marketing Performance Analyst to provide critical insights into our top-of-funnel marketing activities. This role is key to helping our Marketing, Business Intelligence, and Sales leadership understand and optimize the entire lead-to-pipeline journey. You will play a critical part in providing data-driven recommendations and analysis on how to best generate Marketing Qualified Accounts (MQAs) and Marketing Qualified Persons (MQPs) and track their successful conversion into sales pipeline. Your work will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of our demand generation strategy, ensuring marketing efforts are optimally translated into revenue opportunities. As an integral member of the GTM BI team, you will collaborate closely with Marketing leaders, acting as the go-to resource for uncovering insights and recommending strategies to improve funnel conversion rates. You will also work alongside fellow analysts in a collaborative environment that fosters continuous learning and contributes to the overall success of the team.
You'll Get To::Top-of-Funnel Analysis and Reporting:
· Analyze and report on key top-of-funnel conversion metrics, identifying trends, and providing actionable insights to marketing stakeholders.
· Conduct in-depth analysis to understand the optimal paths for generating Marketing Qualified Accounts (MQAs) and Marketing Qualified Persons (MQPs).
· Track and measure the conversion rates from MQA/MQP to sales-accepted opportunities and, ultimately, to bookings.
Dashboard Development and Data Transformation:
· Utilize Google BigQuery and advanced SQL to transform and model raw data from various marketing platforms into clean, useable datasets for analysis.
· Design, build, and maintain robust dashboards in Tableau to provide Marketing leaders with clear visibility into funnel performance, campaign effectiveness, and pipeline contribution.
· Translate complex data findings into visually compelling stories that are easily understood by technical and non-technical audiences.
Campaign Performance Analysis:
· Develop and manage custom reports to track the performance of specific marketing campaigns from start to finish.
· Monitor key campaign KPIs, including registration trends, lead progression, pipeline influence, and conversion rates, providing regular updates to campaign managers.
· Collaborate with the marketing team to define success metrics and reporting frameworks for new campaigns and initiatives.
Collaboration and Strategy:
· Work closely with Marketing leaders to understand their goals and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize funnel performance.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales and GTM Operations, to ensure alignment and a holistic understanding of the customer journey.
· Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership to inform marketing strategy and investment decisions.
What You'll Bring::• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business Analytics, Marketing Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• 4-7 years of proven experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on marketing funnel analysis, lead management, and conversion rate optimization.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, specifically with experience in Google BigQuery, for complex data transformation, extraction, and modeling.
• Strong expertise in building insightful and user-friendly dashboards with Tableau or a similar data visualization tool.
• Deep understanding of top-of-funnel marketing KPIs (MQA, MQP, lead-to-opportunity conversion, etc.) and demand generation principles.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for marketing teams.
• Experience in a B2B or subscription-based business model.

Demonstrated experience applying machine learning (ML) techniques in a business context, particularly for tasks like lead scoring, timeseries forecasting, or marketing mix modeling.
