Overview:

This Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall management and maintenance of all FORUM’s facilities and grounds, ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment. This includes overseeing maintenance and repairs, building improvements, cleaning of facilities, management of budgets, building security, and supervision of staff.  This position plays a key role in planning and development of new construction and renovation and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and codes. 

 

This position is located at our Fishers Headquarters and is 100% onsite

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

What you'll do:

  • Provide training, development, and supervision for all maintenance/facility staff as well as supervision of external contractors. Ensure all staff members are trained in preventive maintenance as well as daily duties including those for the Event Center.
  • Review vendors and make recommendations for contract services. Negotiate service contracts and approve vendor invoices for payment.
  • Coordinate and manage daily cleaning and janitorial services to maintain a clean and healthy environment
  • Serve as a resource and/or project manager as needed for facility renovations including branch office renovation, workstation buildouts, and/or construction projects.
  • Manage the mailroom operations as well as standard office supply purchases.
  • Serve as the system administrator for systems relating to office supply purchases, UPS shipping and facilities/maintenance ticket tracking.
  • Motivate staff to accomplish goals and objectives. Hold staff accountable and evaluate employee performance in a timely manner.
  • Inspect all work and assist with minor plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry duties as needed. Assist with Event Center setup/tear down as needed. 
  • Manage preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, building, codes and other applicable laws and standards.

 

Qualifications:

What we are looking for:

  • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training program
  • Five to eight years of similar or related experience, including relevant experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) Program or other relevant certification preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s license
