The Warehouse Associate will assist in the operations of cigarette manufacturing and packaging process, material handling of raw materials to meet production requirements, and help facilitate efficient production of high-quality tobacco finished goods. Employees are responsible for duties in assigned areas and cross-training for coverage in additional departments.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist Production with material requirements for work centers per detailed work instructions.
- Ensure the proper materials are pulled from the designated stock location, as per scheduled work orders and pick ticket requirements.
- Inspect packaging of raw material to ensure a high quality is maintained within established quality guidelines.
- Communicate with other employees and supervision to ensure proper materials are being allocated to the appropriate work centers.
- Support and maintain an adequate level of raw materials to ensure continuous and efficient production.
- Ability to work in a team environment, learn new processes, and retain knowledge regarding various duties and department guidelines.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail, proactivity, and effective follow-through.
- Flexibility to perform in a fast paced and innovative environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED
- Previous experience in a manufacturing warehouse environment.
- Forklift experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Walking, climbing, stooping, reaching, lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be visually capable to distinguish differences in color and wording on product and to detect non-tobacco related materials.
