Position Overview
The Millwright will assist facility teams with small to medium sized improvement/repair projects within our grain elevator asset network. This position ensures that Scoular equipment and physical assets are always in safe condition and good working order as well as oversee new installations of equipment and foundations. This role requires maintenance knowledge and experience to lead Scoular employees through non-routine tasks and mechanical issues to ensure we are meeting safety, compliance and efficiency expectations.
Job Responsibilities
- Partner with Scoular asset teams to plan and complete in-house projects and repairs.
- Responsible for providing leadership and direction to Construction and Laborer crews regarding non-routine task completion.
- Partner with facility management to coordinate crew member support and scheduling to assist with project completion, as well as inventory support in ordering needed parts.
- Inspect and monitor grain asset equipment. Examples: legs, drag, conveyor belts, skid steers, wheel loaders.
- Coach and train facility team members on preventative maintenance best practices.
- Work closely with Operations Project Team to support asset locations to address maintenance needs proactively to minimize breakdowns.
