Role Description
The Restaurant IT Systems Administrator (RISA) focuses on technology and its interaction with all aspects of our store operations. The RISA has a high level of empathy and understanding of our operations, our culture, and our brand. The RISA supports the smooth operation and continued development of the technology systems and processes used across our store environment to create exceptional experiences, every day, for our teams and guests.
Role & Responsibilities:
As the Restaurant IT Systems Administrator, my first responsibility is always to support the following areas:
- Our Vision, Strategy, Purpose, Values, and Culture
- Our overall performance as a business (store and company)
- Driving change to improve our performance
As the Restaurant IT Systems Administrator, I:
- Support, manage, and maintain store-level technology, including:
- Point of Sale Hardware
- All POS devices, including printers, screens, and kitchen management systems
- Menu database changes:
- POS
- Online ordering menu
- 3rd Party Delivery Providers
- Store Network Environment
- Cabling
- Network Gateway
- Network Switching
- WiFi
- 4G/5G backup
- Primary Internet Provider
- Voice operations
- Phone Hardware
- VoIP Configuration
- Partner with the managed service provider to troubleshoot issues
- Primary and Secondary Internet Provider(s)
- Partner with operations in support of:
- Cable TV
- Security system demark to the network
- Music/Sound system
- IoT sensors
- RMA support and coordination for all hardware
- Inventory Management for all IT hardware and software
- Provide Systems Support for:
- Restaurant 365
- User access issues
- Restaurant 365
- Provide Office Support, including:
- Network and Voice
- Google Workplace
- Microsoft 365 Apps and Authentication
- Partner with Vendors that need access to the network
- Printer
- Laptop/MAC support
- Meet with assigned vendors to ensure project delivery and lifecycle, including:
- Current
- Vonage
- HelloSpoke
- POS Vendor
- Ubiquity
- 3PD
- Deliverect
- Propose changes to technology/offering that outline the business case for change.
- Meet on a regular cadence with other departments to gather requirements and provide updates.
- Operations
- Marketing
- Finance
- HR
- Work on projects assigned or approved by the Director of IT
- Meet delivery timelines and quality.
- Travel to locations when needed.
- Occasionally work after hours on projects.
- Continually seek to develop and improve upon the technical acumen of all of Dewey’s supported technology.
- Be available during Restaurant operating hours for support.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Ideal Candidate Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or experience in supporting restaurant technology
- 2+ years of supporting store-level technology operations
- 1+ years in supporting Google Worksplace, Microsoft 365
- 1+ years in network support
