Radiology Nurse bei Delta Health

Position Overview:

Delta Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Radiology Department. Under the direction of the assigned supervisor and in alignment with ANA standards of practice and performance, the Radiology RN delivers high-quality, compassionate nursing care to both inpatients and outpatients across the lifespan.

This role involves close collaboration with physicians, technologists, and support staff to provide safe and effective care during diagnostic and interventional radiologic procedures. The ideal candidate is adaptable, culturally competent, clinically experienced, and capable of responding to unexpected emergencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
• Administer and monitor sedation/analgesia under physician direction.
• Assess, identify, and respond to contrast reactions and extravasations.
• Initiate and maintain IV access; assist technologists with venous access as needed.
• Deliver pre- and post-procedure education to patients and families.
• Perform patient assessments including medical history, allergy review, and vital signs.
• Apply knowledge of growth and development to patient care and communication.
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity and quality of care.
• Maintain safety standards and follow protocols for radiologic procedures.
• PICC line insertion (certification required within 6 months of hire).
• Support family members and ensure culturally competent care delivery.
• Supervise unlicensed assistive personnel as assigned.
• Participate in quality improvement, education, and team-building activities.
• Adapt to changes in duties and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current and valid Colorado RN license.
• AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (required upon hire).
• ACLS and PALS (must obtain within 6 months of hire).

Preferred:

• 3+ years of overall nursing experience.
• 1+ year of recent clinical experience in PACU, ICU, or Emergency Department.
• Experience with radiology procedures and safety protocols.
• PICC line certified or willingness to become certified within 6 months.
