The Doula II provides culturally sensitive support and training using program curriculum to assist at-risk women in early stages of pregnancy to heal from their own trauma and prepare to become mothers. As a Doula II, you will work collaboratively with the Family Support Services team to ensure quality, comprehensive care while creating a service plan for each participant, and then assist in establishing and completing goals. You will maintain a caseload of 10 participants, 2 of which additional documentation will be required for Medicaid billing - complete case notes and other required documentation of services. As a Doula II, you will attend births as requested by the mother and participate in the on-call system and provide back up to traditional doulas as required by the program. 

Candidate qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or human service field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Doula training required; DONA preferred.
  • Association for Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology and Health training required within 18 months of hire.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A minimum of two years of experience working with children and families required.
  • A minimum of one year of doula experience preferred.
  • Ability to attend in-person family visits and meetings in the Rockford, IL area required.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and a reliable vehicle required.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Spanish preferred.

          Job details:

          • Compensation: Range is between $45,000 - $49,000 annually; offers are commensurate with experience and bilingual candidates may receive additional compensation. The salary range provided represents our current estimate for this role at the time of posting and is subject to change. The final salary will be determined based on a range of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate's relevant experience, education, qualifications, skills, certifications, and alignment with organizational needs.           • Location: Home office is at our Rockford location, occasional work from home (1-2 days)
          • Schedule: Full-time, hourly; general business hours with some flexibility required for accommodating client’s schedules and special projects.
