The Supply Chain Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of products from production to customers. This position is responsible for analyzing, planning, and executing inventory and logistics activities to support business goals, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. The analyst partners cross-functionally with operations, production, procurement, and third-party logistics providers to maintain accurate inventory, optimize transfers, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain performance.


Role and Responsibilities


Inventory & Order Management

  • Monitor, analyze, and maintain appropriate inventory levels at company facilities and 3PL warehouses.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy between internal systems and external partners, reconciling discrepancies proactively.
  • Execute the order entry process ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate and maintain daily transfer schedules to ensure product availability for customers

Logistics & Fulfillment

  • Partner with 3PL providers to ensure efficient movement of goods and fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Identify and communicate potential order fulfillment gaps, developing corrective action plans with internal stakeholders.
  • Support transportation planning and scheduling as needed.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain reporting on key supply chain metrics (e.g., inventory turns, service levels accuracy).
  • Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making and supply chain optimization.
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through data analysis and recommend solutions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with production, procurement, sales, and operations teams to align supply and demand.
  •  Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve accuracy, and enhance service.
  • Assist in system/process implementations (ERP, WMS, TMS) to strengthen supply chain efficiency. 

Compliance & Food Safety

  • Ensure all activities align with SQF, USDA, and company food safety/quality standards. · Report any food safety or regulatory concerns promptly to leadership 
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management or related discipline. 
  • Experience in food, CPG or manufacturing environment highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems (Syspro and Translution experience a plus).
  • Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
