We are searching for an IT Support Technician to join our team in Corona, CA. The IT Support Technician will be responsible for installation, support, and maintenance services within Fender’s desktop computing environment. This role ensures user satisfaction by diagnosing, repairing, and upgrading hardware, software, and peripherals for PC and Mac systems.
Essential Functions:
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade computer hardware, operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
- Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of problems related to computer hardware, operating systems, applications, and peripherals.
- Recommend and implement proactive or automated solutions to resolve recurring system-related issues.
- Monitor and assess system performance, making recommendations for upgrades as needed.
- Provide end-user support via phone, email, and in person to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure appropriate LAN and wireless LAN connectivity across Fender’s systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory of hardware, software, and IT assets.
- Document support activities, helpdesk tickets, and technical resolutions.
- Provision user accounts, permissions, and services within Active Directory, Exchange, VPN, and printing systems.
- Perform basic network and security functions, such as resetting passwords, managing file permissions, and monitoring access.
- Collaborate with approved vendors for hardware, software, and services support.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- College diploma or university degree in Computer Science, or 2+ years equivalent IT support experience.
- A+ and/or MCSE certifications preferred.
- Hands-on desktop/laptop hardware troubleshooting and installation (PC and Mac).
- Strong technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Office, Active Directory, Exchange, and TCP/IP networking.
- Experience with handheld terminal scanners, Zebra printers, USB barcode scanners, and network printing is a plus.
- Cisco, Citrix, Raspberry Pi, SAP or other ERP knowledge preferred.
- Ability to build/configure servers from scratch is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Customer-service orientation with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and work flexible hours to support planned outages.
- Ability to adhere to safety procedures, rules, and regulations at all times, and to wear personal protective equipment while on the factory floor, including, without limitation: safety glasses, gloves, earplugs, and protective footwear.

Subject to the foregoing, the current pay scale for this position is $25.00 to $31.00 per hour.
