McAllister Towing of San Juan is looking for an experienced Maintenance technician.  A description of duties is highlighted below:

Maintenance

Reports to:

Maintenance is responsible and accountable to the Port Engineer.

Supervises:

None.

Description of Duties:

Maintenance is responsible for the repairs and maintenances of vessels and equipment.

Assists in the maintenance and repair of vessels and facilities in support of local quality, safety, and environmental goals.

Receives instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.

Plans details of working procedure, tools and material requirements.

Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have prior experience in marine diesel engine maintenance and repair.

Must be qualified to operate standard shipyard equipment, forklifts and other related equipment.

Must be able to work a flexible shift.

Must be able to operate in confined or constricted workspaces.

Strong organizational, research, and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements:

Work involves considerable stooping, bending, and working in overhead structures and on scaffolds.

Must be able to properly wear personal protective equipment.

Must pass respirator fit test.
