The Data Analyst is responsible for administration of data systems and reporting frameworks, guaranteeing the integrity and precision of data. This position will turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. Data analyst responsibilities include conducting full lifecycle analysis to include requirements, activities and creating visual dashboards. Data analysts are tasked with enhancing analytical and reporting functions, as well as monitoring performance and quality assurance processes to pinpoint areas for enhancement. This role will also participate in and lead other BI projects based on their skills.
What you will do here:
- Utilize the Domo platform to create interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
- Data Collection and Cleaning: Collect and compile data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Perform data cleaning and transformation as necessary to prepare it for analysis.
- Data Analysis: Conduct data analysis using statistical methods, data visualization tools, and data analysis software. Summarize findings in clear and concise reports. Conduct ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), SQL, R and Python processes to prepare data for analysis.
- APIs: Provide solutions, create and manage API connections between multiple technologies including internal and external projects
- AI Initiatives: Lead research and advancement of AI and Machine Learning to automate and improve BI applications and support AI cross company initiatives
- Data Visualization: Create visually appealing and informative charts, graphs, and dashboards to present data insights to stakeholders.
- Report Generation: Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports to communicate key metrics and findings to the team and management. Ensure reports are accurate and delivered on time.
- Data Quality Assurance: Maintain data quality standards by identifying and resolving data discrepancies or inconsistencies. Collaborate with other team members to establish data quality protocols.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
- Research and Learning: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and other BI solutions. Continuously expand knowledge and skills in data analytics techniques and tools.
- Client Projects: Manage and maintain positive client relationships while leading or participating in client work.
- Manage or oversee multiple projects effectively
- Recommend automation enhancements to create process efficiencies and adoption
- Identify opportunities for new or expanded ISG service offerings (including opportunities for M&IW strategic partners)
- Self-manage through difficult situations and projects pulling in ISG resources as necessary
- Work with other teams on strategic projects as necessary

What you will bring:

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 2-3 years’ experience using Domo (or experience in another data analysis tool – Tableau, Power BI) platform for data visualization and reporting.
- Hotel, Meeting and Event, and/or Hospitality experience a plus
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into meaningful insights.
- Experience with SQL for querying and manipulating data within Domo a plus.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts and data integration techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
