Clay County Group Home staff manage the activities of daily living for their residents. Adhering to the guidelines and policies of the program the group home staff by guiding, teaching, and correcting the residents with duties such as supervising meal preparation and household chores, assisting with homework, transporting residents to school, appointments, and other scheduled activities, and administering medications while developing rapport, resolving problems, and communicating clearly.
This position requires someone with excellent communication skills, able to effectively use conflict resolution solutions, be a team player, and has a valid driver’s license and liability insurance. Additionally, for a Youth Specialist position the candidate will need to have earned a high school diploma or equivalent. And a Deputy Juvenile Officer will have earned a bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Full-time opening on the 4:00 pm - 12:00 am shift
Full-time position title and salary is designated at time of hire based on education level. Pay starts at $19.22 - $21.15 per hour and comes with a benefit package that includes a defined benefit retirement plan fully funded by the Count. We also offer three medical plans including two high deductible plans, dental, vision, two flexible spending accounts, and supplemental plans. Full-time employees are also offered life insurance (2X annual salary) paid by the County, paid vacation/sick leave, 14 paid holidays, LTD and tuition reimbursement.
