Bingham Healthcare Radiology is seeking a skilled and compassionate X-Ray Technologist to join our ever-growing Radiology team. This position will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, specifically focused on operating X-ray equipment within the Operating Room (OR) and the Radiology Department. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with medical professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education: Graduate of or eligible to graduate from a recognized, approved AMA program. Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Licenses / Certifications: Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) or registry eligible with certification by the ARRT pending. BLS required.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Solid understanding of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in positioning patients to obtain accurate radiographs performed in Radiology and OR departments.
- Ability to manipulate imaging equipment effectively
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with digital imaging systems
- Willingness to train on new equipment and complete department-specific training checklists
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Operate diagnostic X-ray equipment to capture high-quality imaging in the OR and other hospital settings as directed by physicians and radiologists
- Operate imaging equipment including general radiography, fluoroscopy, portable X-ray units, C-arms, and CT scanners safely and efficiently
- Determine appropriate positioning for exams based on patient condition and physical ability and positioning patients appropriately to obtain accurate X-ray images, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Review images for quality and completeness; adjust techniques as necessary to obtain quality images.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and staff to ensure smooth workflow and timely diagnostic results.
- Maintain professional interactions with patients and families
- Complete all documentation related to imaging procedures, including exam orders, paperwork, and fiscal responsibilities
- Assist radiologists during procedures and ensure necessary supplies are readily available
- Prepare and maintain the X-ray equipment, ensuring it is clean, safe, and in good working order for appropriate areas such as OR and Radiology
- Follow all safety protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure
- Provide support to the OR team during surgical procedures that require X-ray imaging
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with technological advancements and best practices in radiology
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
