As the Senior Manager of Retail Business Intelligence, you will lead the development of advanced insights that drive our retail strategy and execution. In this role, you will partner closely with Sales, Brand, Planning, and Operations teams to deliver data-driven recommendations that enhance sales performance, optimize inventory, and strengthen retail partnerships.
The successful candidate will be responsible for owning and evolving retail dashboards, scorecards, and reporting tools using platforms like Tableau, Sigma Power BI, SQL, and Excel, while leveraging syndicated data sources (e.g., Circana), retailer POS portals (e.g., Walmart Scintilla, Target Partners Online), and internal data (DataBricks). The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, a hands-on analyst, and a strong communicator who can turn complex datasets into clear, actionable business insights.
What You Will Do:
- Be the lead analyst on cross-functional team projects aimed at optimizing our inventory position at our largest retail partners (Walmart, Target, Amazon.com, Costco, etc.).
- Collaborate with Sales & Planning Teams to monitor accuracy of demand forecasts and build the necessary tools to communicate changes in demand to the team managing production needs.
- Partner with Sr. Director of BI to develop a core library of Dashboards for Sales & Planning leadership. This set of reports should efficiently represent the main KPI’s required to understand our business at a global level.
- Work as a liaison between Sales and Brand teams to facilitate the evaluation of our programs by sales channel and geographic territory
- Analyze Retailer POS sales to identify market trends and communicate in a timely manner actionable insights.
- Facilitate roll-up of our forecast and sell-through performance to present to Executive Leadership in a concise, effective manner.
- Build a process to monitor and proactively manage our products' inventory at the store level for our main retail customers. Develop KPls to identify sales opportunities at a regional level.
- Analyze shipment status data to support the Sales Operations team on supply chain projects.
- Partner with Sales and Business Intelligence Leaders to optimize and update retail forecasts to help automate the chase/cancel sales process.
- Partner with our Data Engineering team in defining the roadmap and prioritization of data initiatives.
- Become a subject matter expert on Walmart’s Scintilla platform to assist the local Sales Team in managing data-intensive projects.
- Support the Planning Team on Ad-Hoc reports related to shipment volume and production planning.

This role is a hands-on leadership role, with the goal of growing a team assigned to support our largest accounts. Management experience is preferred, as position will need to hire and train new team members as responsibilities expand.
What We Are Looking For:
- Advanced Excel data modelling skills - Power Pivot
- Technical expertise with Business Intelligence tools such as Databricks, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Sigma.
- 5 to 10 years of experience in Retail (CPG) Planning, Operations, or Business Intelligence function
- Strong communicator with experience presenting complex analyses to Executive Team
- Capable of building strategic dashboards that provide clarity across technical and non-technical teams, enhancing decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science or related Quantitative field (Statistics, Business Analytics, Finance) required
- ΜΒΑ preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics (KSAO's)
- Must be process-oriented and must have experience designing and implementing process improvements.
- Hands-on leader willing to dive into data at the most granular level in order to understand the business.
- Strong quantitative intuition and data visualization skills for ad-hoc and exploratory analysis.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex analyses to a non-technical and diverse audience.
- Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to influence others.
- Flexible to effectively manage competing timelines and priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a Retail environment with either a Wholesaler or a Retailer
- Demand Planning background a plus.
- Proven ability to analyze and effectively summarize large data sets.
- Excel Power Pivot, SQL, Power BI, Sigma, and/or Tableau experience a plus

The base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.
