Position Overview:
The Supervisor of District Night Maintenance is responsible for overseeing the hiring, training, and evaluation of the District Night Leads within Peoria Unified School District. This role involves guiding the work of the Night Leads and inspecting campuses to ensure that campuses are clean, inviting, and in good repair. The Night Supervisor also oversees the CCS contract and coordinates with CCS leadership and Night Leads to ensure that all contract obligations are met. A key requirement for this position is previous leadership experience and exceptional interpersonal skills, especially related to the training of District personnel. Included in that experience will be evidence of strong communication skills and the ability to carry out duties with minimal oversight.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Quality Control: Inspect campuses to ensure they reach the Campus Standard of Care as directed by the Executive Director of Facilities.

Candidate Screening and Evaluation: Conduct initial screenings, interviews, and assessments to identify qualified candidates. Provide detailed candidate evaluations and recommendations to Site Administration and coordinate with Site Administration in the approval of new hires.

Onboarding and Training: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires to ensure a smooth transition and integration into the organization. Provide ongoing training and resources to new employees.

Data Analysis and Reporting: Review the work of Nights Leads with the Executive Director of Facilities and create plans and programs to ensure efficient and effective work.

Collaboration: Work with Site Administration to ensure that Site Leads are completing work effectively and to identify and respond to cleaning concerns from District and CCS staff.

Resource Allocation: Manage the CCS contract and communicate with CCS leadership regularly to ensure that all aspects of the CCS contract are executed. Request necessary resources for District staff as needed.

Compliance and Standards: Ensure that District and CCS personnel comply with organizational, state, and federal regulations, and align with industry standards and best practices.

Candidate Advocacy: Advocate for District staff ensuring they receive appropriate support and communication. Report requests from CCS to the Executive Director and plan for necessary actions to ensure a healthy relationship with the company.

Professional Development: Stay current with industry research, best practices, and emerging trends in leadership, management, and industry standards and share knowledge with the District Maintenance team and other stakeholders.

Problem Solving: Address challenges and obstacles and work collaboratively to find solutions that enhance the organization's staffing outcomes.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

Expert leadership strategies and best practices.

Ability to model and articulate effective campus management and cleaning practices.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Proficiency in computer and typing tools.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must have previous leadership and supervisory experience.
Must have the ability to drive a district vehicle.

Other Requirements:

Must be able to pass a fingerprint and background clearance check.

May be required to work outside normal working hours.
Other duties may be assigned by the Executive Director of Facilities.
