McArthur River - McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. This is a 12-month temporary position.
Position and Responsibilities
- Performing predictive and preventative maintenance checks on a regular basis to ensure safe and reliable production.
- Perform welding work on structures and equipment to stated specifications.
- Troubleshooting structure and equipment failures and, documenting and performing repairs.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
- Valid Saskatchewan or inter-provincial journeyperson welder ticket
- At least five years of industrial experience as a journeyperson
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Required to work both underground and on surface
- Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
Assets:
- SAP experience
- Previous underground maintenance experience
Conditions of Employment:
- Pre-employment substance test
- Trade verification
