Concept Frames, an ASSA ABLOY branded company is growing and to support that growth, we are adding a Maintenance Technician to our manufacturing / machine shop located in Newton, North Carolina.
What would you do as our Maintenance Technician?
You will be a hands-on technician responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment across the facility. Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, you would troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement efforts to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability—all while promoting a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.
You would also:
- Maintain and repair machinery and equipment: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on CNC machines and other equipment, ensuring all remain in good operating condition to minimize downtime
- Manage inventory and supplies: Oversee departmental supplies, request needed materials, and specify/locate components in both emergency and non-emergency situations
- Handle technical documentation and recordkeeping: Maintain repair and lockout records in the Thrive system, organize technical manuals, and write instructions for plant equipment as needed
- Oversee waste handling and compliance: Ensure proper collection, storage, and maintenance of waste oils, greases, and related materials
- Support operations and training: Assist with specifying and purchasing equipment, provide technical support to outside maintenance personnel, and manage staff training assignments
- Other responsibilities as required
- Continually promote a safe and harmonious working environment, demonstrating strict adherence to the Assa Abloy Code of Conduct and Health and Safety Policy
The Skills and Experience you need:
- Minimum 3+ years as a Maintenance Technician with a strong commitment to safety for self and others
- Thorough knowledge of CNC punching machines, lasers, Accupress forming presses, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC programming (RSLogix); mechanically inclined with strong deductive reasoning skills.
- Proven ability to apply lean manufacturing methods and structure/modify TPM approaches to maximize equipment performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational abilities.
- Able to read and interpret complex blueprints and concepts effectively.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively and demonstrating strong personal and motivational skills.
