The Global Real Estate (GRE) team consists of more than 600 employees, executing 6,000 capital projects per year globally totaling nearly $8 billion a year in design, construction and capital investment.

As the Manager of Workplace Deisgn within the Global Real Estate Design & Construction team, you will lead the development and implementation of forward-thinking workplace strategies and design guidelines that directly support our business objectives. This role is pivotal in enhancing the employee experience across our global portfolio, driving innovation, and fostering environments that enable organizational success. Assist with the management and oversight of the Global Design business, including developing tools for resource management and prioritization; maximizing opportunities to leverage external partners; evaluate the use of leading-edge technologies to improve efficiency and quality delivery; assist regional teams to assure appropriate focus on major projects.  You will collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver impactful solutions that align with our company’s vision and values.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive workplace strategies that reflect the company’s vision, mission, and business goals; serve as a thought leader and advocate for workplace innovation, representing the organization at industry events and conferences.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of business, human capital, and operational strategies to ensure workplace initiatives support all facets of the organization.
  • Present industry-leading practices and data-driven recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with Global Real Estate (GRE) regional teams to support site-level strategies, establishing clear, measurable objectives for both short- and long-term workplace transformation.
  • Drive the design and implementation of workplace solutions that elevate employee engagement, productivity, and well-being.
  • Ensure regional design requirements are aligned with Global Design Guidelines, adapting standards to meet specific Line of Business (LOB) needs.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders—including CAO, Technology, and Human Resources—to integrate workplace initiatives across the organization.
  • Develop bespoke Design Guidelines for specialized LOBs with unique spatial requirements (e.g., JPMA).
  • Manage relationships with external partners, including architects, designers, and consultants, to deliver innovative and sustainable workplace solutions.
  • Partner to develop and implement change management strategies that facilitate the successful adoption of new workplace initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 20+ years of experience in design, workplace strategy, corporate real estate, or a related discipline, with a proven record of leadership and success.
  • In-depth knowledge of workplace trends, space planning, and design principles.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects and deliver results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated experience in change management and driving organizational transformation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve strategic objectives.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • Advanced degree preferred.
