Summary:
Work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing setting that may include dust and debris and can be loud at times. As an Inventory Specialist you will be responsible for providing a service to the manufacturing operations and will monitor and maintain inventory levels. Process and track purchase orders and changes. Perform cycle counts and records results. Compile inventory information such as consumption rate, characteristics, value, and stock on hand to determine stock supply and need for replenishment. In this role you will input data, generate audit reports, coordinate physical movement of parts and materials, update receiving related systems, monitor material handling activities to ensure quality of service, and internal customer delivery expectations consistent with company policy and performance standards and will report to the shift supervisor. Be able to operate forklift, read and understand written directions. And be able to provide report data to the management team. Must follow all applicable safety procedures to avoid injuries including but not limited to request for help from co-workers. Proper handling of finished parts and products to avoid injuries or damage, follow all operational instructions when operating or using tools and equipment. Provide quality checks as determined. Job may require overtime and a flexible schedule, reporting early and working late including weekends from time to time.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
- Record and track all shipping transactions utilizing a scan gun.
- Able to safely operate a forklift and heavy equipment in tight places.
- Perform cycle counts, and compile inventory information.
- Determine stock supply and consumption rates.
- Able to work closely with team leaders and supervisors on forecasting Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Follow safety protocol.
- Read and comprehend schedule and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Inspect manufactured goods for defects, quality, proper material and correct size and specifications.
- Housekeeping while in between quality checks. (5’s Area/ Aisle)
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and learn the production process.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Hi-Lo Certification preferred, will be trained, and certified on the hi-lo.
- (1) year of experience in tool and die in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
- Must have reliable transportation.
