How you'll make an impact
Lead and support project and site HSE teams across the CEU-NEU region as a dedicated People Manager and integrate HSE considerations into project planning, execution, and handover phases
Champion the implementation of the HVDC HSE strategy across the CEU-NEU region, driving performance and compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements
Act as the key HSE liaison between CEU-NEU and global leadership, ensuring strategic alignment
Collaborate with other Regional HSE Managers to ensure a uniform approach is delivered throughout the organization
Act as a key contributor in project reviews across the CEU-NEU region, providing HSE support and strategic guidance to the Operations and Construction & Commissioning departments
Support business development initiatives by providing HSE expertise during tendering and proposal stages, ensuring compliance with client requirements
Drive the development and delivery of HSE training programs tailored to regional needs, enhancing workforce competence and compliance
Manage and resolve any regulatory or legal HSE-related issues within the region, ensuring compliance with local laws and standards
Management of the department budget in the region for continuous improvement, training, travel requests, expenses and workshops
Your background
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a complex, matrix-based organization
Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, such as Safety or Engineering
Demonstrated strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all organizational levels
Proven ability to manage multiple resources across diverse geographical locations
Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach, effectively balancing long-term planning with daily operational execution
Experienced in developing and implementing strategies that deliver measurable business results
Commercial awareness and experience working directly with customers/clients, ensuring alignment of HSE initiatives with their business needs and driving mutual success
Fluent in English, both written and verbal
Fluent in German, fluent in Dutch desirable
