Background: The Director, Senior Product Manager will own the business delivery of technology-powered systems that deliver value to clients and that also drive results for the business. The incumbent will be responsible for directly supporting some products and managing other Product Managers to support other products within the portfolio.
As the Senior Product Manager within the Client Enablement function, you will play a critical role in defining the business problems that we intend to solve via technology products, setting out measures of success, and working with technology partners and designers to implement viable solutions that provide value.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Operations, Compliance, Technology, and Legal to both define pain points and ensure technology solutions are valuable (solve real business problems) and viable (operate within the constraints the firm operates under). Solutions will typically be built in a data-driven and iterative approach to promote frequent value delivery and transparency into business outcomes.
Client Enablement is process owner for onboarding new clients and enabling them with additional services. For some capabilities, we directly execute (e.g., regulatory data collection and attestations, client suitability evidence, tax due diligence, account setup) while for others we own and coordinate the process (e.g., legal agreement negotiation, credit, AML/KYC). The business problems selected for technology solutions will focus on enhancing the client onboarding journey, driving efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction while improving time-to-value (time-to-money) for our sales and operational teams.
The context of viability includes the complex regulatory and operational environment of a full-service capital markets division with different system setups, settlements, collateralization, and regulatory requirements all of which differ by product type and by jurisdictions we operate in, and our clients are located in.
The ideal candidate will have deep experience with a top technology firm in a product management role. Understanding of banking or capital markets, while nice-to-have, is not a responsibility of this role. The role will also include coaching, mentoring, and supporting more junior Product Manager(s).

- Spend significant time with users of your technology products to understand how they use technology to solve Client Enablement problems and where there are opportunities to solve problems better.
Product Development:
- Define with stakeholders who are benefitting, the business value for a technology capability along with measures of success.
- Work closely with Technology and Development teams to deliver value and viability through iterative design, test, and delivery processes to solve business problems.

- Gather feedback from clients (directly and indirectly), line of business partners, onboarding staff (in Client Onboarding, New Accounts, Know Your Client/Due Diligence, Credit, Derivatives, Legal, Middle Office/Operations, etc.), and other internal teams to continuously improve the onboarding process and experience.
Performance Metrics and Reporting:
- Understand and monitor metrics and usage data on your technology products.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on product performance and progress against agreed KPIs.
Management and Leadership:
- Managing, mentoring, coaching, and supporting more junior Product Manager(s).
