About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Global Payroll Manager to lead our payroll support team across the diverse and dynamic Asia-Pacific and EMEA regions. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with extensive experience managing multi-country payroll, a deep understanding of international compliance, and a passion for process excellence.
What You Will Do
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of regional payroll specialists and leads, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for all countries within the APAC, EMEA regions, ensuring payroll is executed flawlessly and on schedule every cycle.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Develop and maintain robust payroll policies, procedures, and internal controls to support our global growth.
- Drive product improvements by converting complex regional payroll needs into actionable requirements for Engineering. Validate new features to ensure accuracy and compliance across APAC and EMEA
- Build and scale the global support organization for our emerging product suites across HR, IT, and Finance
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in international payroll, with a strong focus on multi-country operations.
- 5 years of direct people management experience, leading and developing payroll teams.
- Demonstrated experience managing payroll operations across a significant number of countries in both the APAC and EMEA regions.
- Strong understanding of payroll accounting, internal controls, and global compliance principles.
- Proven experience in managing and negotiating with third-party payroll vendors.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with major HRIS and payroll platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep expertise in jurisdictions with highly structured and complex payroll systems. We strongly prefer candidates with hands-on experience in at least one major APAC country (e.g., Australia, Singapore) and one major EMEA country (e.g., UK, Germany, France), as this demonstrates an ability to navigate sophisticated regulatory environments.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-growth technology or multinational corporation.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CIPP, CPP) are highly regarded.
