Specialist/Senior Specialist - Actuarial

We are looking to hire Lead Specialist-Actuarial in the US / Germany/ Swiss Retirement Actuarial team

The team supports the Actuarial & Financial group with a broad range of actuarial & financial management services for clients like Experience reporting, Reserving, Regulatory reporting, pricing and underwriting support. We serve more than 40 locations across North America and have a client base of 350+ clients, producing more than 3000 reports annually.

We will count on you for:

  • Process, validate and update data in the actuarial and financial models like experience monitoring, Reserving, regulatory reporting, etc.

  • Peer review the reports prepared by the team members and share observations

  • Liaison with onshore consultants for any data or project related queries resolution

  • Participate and contribute in any special project requirements

  • Support in any new transitions, documentation and creation of PMAPs and SOP

  • Guide and mentor team members on actuarial principles, Mercer’s tools and processes and help them identify and address their developmental areas through

    • Providing regular feedback on their work

    • Receiving feedback from them on their developmental areas

    • Presenting such instances to group leaders and initiating training programs

  • Lead the training of new hires and existing resources for new transitions

  • Understand project management from a work budget and timing standpoint 

Note: Applicants should be flexible working in shifts.

What you need to have: 

  • Knowledge on Retirement domain preferred

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and interpretational skills.

  • Sound knowledge of process documentation, development of SOP, knowledge artifacts

  • Thorough knowledge of peer review / QC

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a demanding work environment

  • Good command on MS office applications (MS-Excel, MS-Word)

  • Ability to multi task, self-starter

  • Any Graduate preferably with Mathematics / Statistics / Actuarial Science or any subject with sizeable

  • mathematical content.

  • Preferably with 3-4 Actuarial exams cleared , CT6 would be an added advantage

  • 2-5 years of overall experience

Eligibility

  • Minimum 12 months experience as C2/D1

  • Should have at least "On Track" or above rating in last appraisal.

  • Should not be under any Performance Continuity Plan, or had any official Disciplinary action within the last 3 months

  • Should not have applied for any other IJP in the last 3 months
