Role Highlights:

  • Take the lead on The Australian Ballet’s social presence, shaping how one of Australia’s most iconic arts institutions connects with audiences locally and globally.
  • Create bold, innovative content, that is visually striking and emotionally resonant to spark engagement and position The Australian Ballet at the forefront of our industry.
  • Pioneer new approaches across social strategy and content creation, ensuring every campaign is both data-driven and artistically inspired.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead an ongoing, end-to-end digital content program, including ideation, production and digital content distribution strategy. Work collaboratively on content requirements to meet sales and digital engagement objectives
  • Lead the content test and learn approach to ensure content is continually reviewed and updated to innovate and to move with changing customer and channel needs 
  • Design and deliver an organic social media strategy that will acquire, engage and retain our growing audience base and bring our stunning content to life digitally
  • Work collaboratively with campaign management team, PR and communication team and content editors to deliver content solutions to briefed campaign challenges or requirements
  • Lead and manage the social media influencer strategy, working closely with the PR and Communications Team on broader influencer and ambassador initiatives
  • Team management of one direct report

What experience you’ll need:

  • Creative thinking and idea generation, paired with a strong collaborative mindset
  • Strong leadership, project management and organizational skills
  • A results-driven ethos and a test and learn approach
  • Knowledge of and experience in the arts and entertainment industry highly regarded, but not essential
