Laboratory Supervisor - PCR bei Idexx

IDEXX is seeking a passionate and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our PCR department in our state-of-the-art, custom-designed facility in Eight Mile Plains — the largest veterinary diagnostics lab in the Southern Hemisphere.

As our Laboratory Supervisor, you’ll be at the forefront of innovation and excellence, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, effective, and timely quantitative and droplet digital polymerase chain reaction diagnostic testing.

You will:

• Champion compliance with NATA and ISO accreditation standards

• Drive a culture of exceptional customer service

• Mentor, coach, and empower your team to reach their full potential

• Manage daily operations and ensure smooth workflow

• Lead quality control and continuous improvement initiatives

• Troubleshoot and optimise lab performance to meet tight turnaround times

What you will bring:

• A Bachelor of Applied Science in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent)

• Skilled in running and troubleshooting qPCR assays and potentially ddPCR

• Hands-on experience in a diagnostic PCR laboratory with veterinary disease familiarity

• Proven success in leading and motivating teams

• Strong PC and data entry skills

• Understanding of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)

• Familiarity with biosafety cabinet protocols and hygienic lab practices

• A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to quality and safety

• A passion for delivering outstanding customer experiences
