This is a broad-based entry accounting role supporting wider finance team including financial, management and systems accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing and processing staff expense claims
- Reviewing and processing staff credit cards
- Reviewing new supplier forms and setting up new supplier accounts
- Logging supplier invoices received.
- Reconciling supplier statements and responding to supplier queries
- Reconciling balance sheet control accounts
- Assisting with maintenance and reconciliation of the fixed asset register
- Assisting with month end journals and postings
- Timesheet chasing and posting in a timely fashion for month end.
- Setting up accounting system access for new starters and amending access in line with grade changes
- Responding to timesheet queries and related training needs of staff
- Supporting Systems Accountant in developing a contract register, a process for monitoring changes, other automation projects such as staff expenses and developing related training materials
- Dealing with other ad-hoc queries or general support to the Finance team
- Covering accounts receivable or accounts payable roles as and when required
